Vera
Overview
Vera’s mission is to help businesses collaborate but more securely. From its founding, Vera sought to establish an unprecedented standard for security and chart an unimagined path than traditional security companies past. In enabling secure collaboration, Vera builds trust between businesses and people.
In an industry characterized as “boring” and “dark”, Vera focus on trust, collaboration, creativity, and new ideas. To emulate Vera’s spirit, I wanted to communicate fun, creative, and witty - something that is not commonly associated with security. Only fitting of Vera’s disruptive mission, I used bright and energetic color palette, clean typography, and isometric illustrations that visually set Vera apart from it’s competitors.
My Role
I joined Vera at its founding as the Lead UI/UX Designer. From the beginning, I recognized that Vera needed not just a great, innovative product, but also a clear identity and brand in a crowded security market to be successful. And so, matched with my creative expertise as a former Art Director and product-savy UI/UX designer, I pulled all the bits and pieces from product to marketing, to create a cohesive brand that spoke to all aspects of the company.
From internal sales enablement and external marketing collateral to customer success materials and a website design, I designed and directed along with two talented interns every illustration, visual, and icon to forge a strong and recognizable brand for Vera.
